Cub Scouting is for Boys From First Through Fifth Grade
Tiger Cubs are boys in the first grade or 7 years old. They join with an adult partner, usually one of his parents. All of the adult partners share in the leadership of the Tiger Cub den, usually taking responsibility for one month's big idea. They work with the guidance and support of the Tiger Cub den leader. A Tiger Cub den consists of six to eight Tiger Cubs and their adult partners. It meets once or twice a month for activities built around the Tiger Cub motto "Search, Discover, Share." Tiger Cub dens also take part in monthly pack meetings. Tiger Cub den activities are based on advancements and electives in the Tiger Cub Handbook Cub Scouts are boys in second and third grades or 8 to 9 years old who
work on their Wolf or Bear badges. They meet weekly in a Cub Scout den
under the leadership of a Cub Scout den leader. A Cub
Scout den consists of six to eight Cub Scouts with a den leader and one
or more assistants. It meets every week at a time and place chosen by the den
leader and parents. A Cub Scout den leader is
an adult volunteer who leads a Cub Scout den, with the help of assistant den
leaders and parents. There might also be a den chief (an older Boy Scout,
Varsity Scout, or Venturer) helping the den leader. All adult family members are
expected to help when called upon to assist with den activities. At den
meetings, the boys enjoy games, stunts, songs, crafts, and ceremonies. Many of
these activities are based on a theme for that month, such as "Under the
Big Top," a circus theme. Cub Scouts also take part in field trips, service
projects, and outdoor activities. Webelos Scouts are boys in fourth and fifth grades or 10 years old.
They meet weekly in a Webelos den under the leadership of a Webelos
den leader and assistant. A Webelos Scout den
consists of six to eight Webelos Scouts . In Pack 105 it meets weekly,
and is run by a "Webelos Master" (by the name of Lynn Spear) at
Roosevelt School. It meets every week. Instead
of a monthly theme, the Webelos den program is built around one of the Webelos
activity badges, part of the Webelos advancement program, such as Showman.
Parent-son overnight camping is also an important part of the den's program. The
Webelos program runs for about 18 months, after which the boys are encouraged to
join a Boy Scout troop and continue their Scouting adventure. |
In today's fast-paced world, convenience is key, especially for vape enthusiasts who appreciate a reliable and portable refillable lighter for everyday use. Our online store offers a range of high-quality vape products, ensuring you have everything you need to enjoy your vaping experience on the go. As you plan your travels, you might wonder, "can you take lighters on a plane?" Generally, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) allows you to bring one disposable lighter in your carry-on luggage, but restrictions may apply to refillable lighters, so it's essential to check the latest regulations.
